BPI Maxi-Saver

do you want a savings account that earns more than a regular time deposit but is easily accessible for withdrawals?

bpi has recently launched a product that lets you do just that.  awesome right?

offhand, these are the information i got from the account officer..
  • 1.35% annual interest rate
  • additional 1% if no withdrawals made the previous month
  • gives higher interest since bpi's td interest is currently at 1.6% per annum
  • quarterly posting of interest
  • P50,000 for atm and P75,000 for passbook accounts
for more information, you may check this link, visit any branch near you, or call their hotline number 89.100

BPI Get Started

"Get Started on saving and get free life insurance up to P2M"

according to their brochure:
  • no premium payments
  • no medical check-ups
  • free protection (from 15 - 70yo)
this is very useful especially if you have quite a hefty sum of money loaded in a savings account right now -- just sitting there and earning a meager interest.  why not open a bpi savings account today (P50,000 passbook and P25,000 atm) and be protected?  let your money work for you.  at least your savings deposit (0.50% interest) will give you additional protection, which isn't usual these days.  according to the bank officer i chatted with, life insurance is up to 5 times your average daily balance for the past 3 months.

Online Airfare Payments Made Easier by Bancnet

if you're that type who shuns credit cards (like moi), you can still purchase your plane tickets online via bancnet.  just make sure that your bank is a bancnet member.

but airline membership is currently limited to cebu pacific and philippine airlines.  let's hope they will expand to include other local and international airlines for an even easier online transaction.

start booking those flights!

Making the Most of Your WIFI Connection

this is too good not to share...

i read these tips from the september 2010 issue of goodhousekeeping magazine (phil ed, page 74, with rep. lucy torres-gomez on the cover).  do take note of them as they will help you save a lot of money...

7 ways to make the most out of your internet connection:
1.  use social networking sites (fb, multiply, ym) when sending a message.  you may even chat if both of you happen to be online at the same time.
* SAVE P1 per text message

2.  buy plane tickets online (cebu pacific, philippine airlines, zestair, airphil express, tiger airways).  transaction is safe and faster.
* SAVE gas and parking fee

3.  read the news online (minus the long list of ads and job vacancy listings).  most of the reputable dailies have websites, and so do news channels like abs-cbn, gma, cnn, bloomberg.
* SAVE P20

4.  watch movies on crackle.  no need to buy dvd (pirated or otherwise).
* SAVE P350 for original version

5.  make calls on skype and yahoo messenger.  just download the program, install them and you're on your way to big, big phonecall savings -- esp for international calls.
* SAVE P6.50 - 7.50/min (local mobile phone calls) and more for international calls

6.  make free phone number inquiries at spot.
* SAVE P2/ directory assistance inquiry

7.  pay bills online.  you can pay thru bpi or bancnet.  just check if your utility provider or insurance company is listed.
* SAVE gas and parking fee

i would like to add more...
8.  watch pacquiao's fight online.  go to justintv.  but do wake-up early coz if you don't, you might not be able to hook up.
* SAVE P350++ depends on where you'll watch

9.  save on playhouse disney connection.  choose from a wide array of free kiddie shows online from such sites as pbskids or youtube.
* SAVE P100/month if you're using skycable select

isn't it great if we can save more bucks thru our internet connection?

Financial Planning from Sun Life of Canada

as soon as we had a baby, my husband and i immediately availed of sunlife's products to protect our son's future in case something bad happens to us.  we'll never know til when we'll be here to support our son's basic needs like food, clothing, shelter and education.  so it's wise to prepare early.

since we don't trust pre-need plans these days, we opted for Sun Life's Variable Insurance Plans (VUL) with riders.  it's like a life insurance and a mutual fund rolled into one.  you not only get to secure your son's future from your accidental death or total disability, you also get to earn from your premium payments which you can use in the future to fund your retirement or child's education.  not bad eh?

if you are still a bit clueless on what to do or where to start, you can check this Product Solutions Chart designed by Sun Life Financial.

once you've determined what your needs are and the type of plans to get for your family, you can get in touch with any professional Sun Life agent.  you can ask for referrals from relatives, friends or colleagues.  but i also do highly recommend ours.  she's very reliable and trustworthy, not those type who's only after their commission.  through the years, she has already become a friend whom we know has our family's best interests in mind.

act now!

FREE PICK-UP SERVICE
tina.guanio@yahoo.com

We also buy office and home appliances/equipments/furniture/wares, demolition/renovation debris, heavy equipments, scrap cars/trucks/etc., surplus, warehouse stocks, salvage items, etc.

We offer clear up-clean up-pick up services for warehouses, basements, garages.

Here's how it works:
1. Send us your NAME,LANDLINE#, MOBILE#, ADDRESS, LIST and/or pictures (optional) of items for disposal/sale, and REASON why you are disposing of your items so we can put your info details in our database.
2. Depending on your area, items, and reason why you're disposing of your items, we will schedule the day our pick-up team will come to your place. We prioritize sellers who are mainly after the disposal of their items over those sellers who are seeking our services to make unreasonable profits on their items for disposal. We also prioritize sellers with items in bulk over those with fewer items.
3. Our telephone operators will inform you of the schedule one to two days in advance.
4. Once our pick-up team arrives at your place, the assessor will appraise your items for disposal.
5. Once you agree to the price offer, our pick-up team will haul your items and hand you the cash.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Is the pick-up service for free?Yes. We just trust that you will not send for our pick-up teams, all the way to your place with all the transportation, logistics, and miscellaneous costs that come along with it, if you're not serious about disposing of your items.
2. Can the clients ask for appraisals over the phone? Our telephone operators are only trained to answer queries regarding procedures, schedules, and follow-ups. They are not however trained to appraise, hence will not be able to give you appraisals nor estimations. Only our assessors, after they have seen the actual items (not pictures), can and do give appraisals.
3. What happens with the items? After your items have been hauled, they are transported to our facilities wherein our team of technicians and assessors, equipped with technical and marketing expertise, employ the most environmentally friendly and economically sound approach in the management of the items that you have disposed of.
