Gardenia Bread Plant Tour

we were at the Gardenia Centre yesterday in Mamplasan, Laguna for my 2.5 year old son's educational tour.

as soon as we entered their premises, we were greeted with that sweet aroma of freshly baked Gardenia bread. hummmm.... yummy!  the smell is so distinct.  you'd know it's Gardenia.

the kids were all giddy!  it was the preschool's first educational tour for the school year so as expected, the kids -- including us parents, were filled with excitement.

they first showed us a video presentation of what Gardenia Bakeries Philippines is all about.  this was followed by a tour of their white and wheat loaf bread factory (the other factories are not allowed for viewing).  we couldn't believe all the loaves of bread we saw in their two huge Spiral Cooling Towers (if you've checked their newspaper ads recently, you'll know what I mean).  layers and layers of bread all waiting to be sliced and packed.  wow!

plant tours are free by the way.  you can check this link for more information.

after the plant tour, they'll whisk you off to their small shop where you can purchase all the Gardenia breads you want at factory prices.  hooray!
