Victory Christian Internation School (VCIS) will hold a one day seminar on Singapore Math. Said seminar has the theme "There are no secrets to make your child good in Math -- the Singapore Math Experience".
Singapore Math is extremely visual and primarily involves word problems, thus encouraging the understanding of mathematical properties and promoting numerical fluency. This math is recognized globally as the best math curriculum.
Guest speaker for said seminar is Dr Yeap Ban Har, a professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. It will be held on August 26, 2010 from 8-12nn at the Every Nation Building in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
